On July 7, 1959, Leon Alexander and Venita Reynolds (both deceased) in Detroit, Michigan. She was the oldest of four (4) children, Andre Reynolds (deceased), Derrick Reynolds (deceased) and Yolanda Reynolds of Detroit, Michigan. Kim was born and raised in Detroit, MI and loved her work as a retail associate at Hudson’s, before relocating to El Paso, TX in 2003. She lived in El Paso, Texas from 2003-2009. While there she worked at RedCats where she was a customer service representative.
Ms. Kim as she was affectionately known gave her life to Christ in 1997 while in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Destiny Family Christian Center in El Paso, Texas led by Bishop Richard L. Johnson and Pastor/First Lady Adele Y. Johnson where she was a member of the Usher Board Team until 2009 when she relocated to Apopka, Florida. She attended and was a member of St. Luke Full Gospel Baptist Church led by Pastor Hezekiah and Veronica Bradford in Mt Dora, Florida. Ms. Kim loved the Lord and she wasn’t afraid to proclaim it. Kim NEVER met a stranger and ALWAYS had a Word form God. She had faith that could move mountains and was blessed with wisdom beyond her years.
Kim was especially proud to be the mother of five (5) children, Shaquanda Lanice Venita Reynolds (Jones), Harry Dennis Reynolds, Michael Foster Jr., Kymmoni Alura Reynolds-Jeter, and Kyonnah Ariel Hudson-Reynolds. She was also blessed to have eleven grandchildren, Joshua Dwight Edwards, Jaquanda Denee Edwards (Davis), Kyante Devon Reynolds, Kyondre Demonie Reynolds, Jade Deshauna Jones, Jiana Davan Jones, Cameron Reynolds, Christian Reynolds, Donte Daniel Gerry, Da’Nay Nevaeh Carruthers and Briella Jae Townson. She was also blessed with one (1) great granddaughter Xoefia Lanice Venita Jones and expecting two (2) in September Mia Kim Jolie and Matthew Andre Edwards.
Ms. Kim had the sweetest spirit and her love for people was evident. She touched many people in her job at Dollar General. People loved her and her hugs. We were so very blessed to share her with the world. But God saw fit to bless her children with her unconditional love. She will be missed by so many, to include a host of family and friends.
Kim would say, “I didn’t always get it right, but I love my babies and if I don’t live another day, they know that without a doubt. I didn’t have much, but what I do have are them. My heart is full.”
On April 8, 2019, Kim made her transition from this life to sit at the right hand of The Father. Matthew 25:23 says “His lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” She served God well and her assignment was completed. Rest easy momma. You left a great legacy behind.

I was so shocked to hear of Ms. Kim’s passing. She and I had been best friends for 7 years, as long as I had known her. She was a good Christian woman who loved the Lord in every way possible. I will miss her terribly but she will remain in my heart forever.
Love Always,

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: Ecclesiastes 3:1 To the family of Ms Kim, My sincere and deepest condolences to all of you. I would visit the Dollar General Store often. Ms. Kim always greeted me with a smile and kind words. She will be missed. But God knows what is best!
