Patrick James Billings was born in Orlando, Florida on March 11, 1984. A daredevil from birth, it wasn’t long before his adventures and shenanigans led him to earn the nickname “Mr. Booboohead,” after becoming a frequent visitor to the emergency department for bumps, bruises and the occasional stitch. While not performing feats of physical daring, Patrick was disassembling alarm clocks, VCRs, and anything else he was left alone with to figure out how they worked (much to the chagrin of his parents!). Patrick’s curiosity and fearlessness led him through a variety of professional pursuits before he finally found his calling in training to become an electrician as a member of the IBEW Local 606 Apprentice school. After an arduous five years in the Apprenticeship School, Patrick was proud to be graduating with his brothers and sisters this summer.
Patrick made fast friends everywhere he went, he had a personality that would light up a room and make everyone feel special. Few people have the capacity to touch lives like Patrick did for so many, but this was never more the case than in his relationship with his beloved children. Patrick lived for his kids and would do anything for them; despite long hours and overtime, Patrick was a devoted father who committed every part of himself to being their rock and their safety net.
Patrick is survived by his two beloved children, Killian and Declan; his mother Dina, and father, Danny; his brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Jessica; his sister and brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Bryan; his grandparents, Herb and Bonnie; his nieces and nephews, Madeline, Ainsley, Jackson, William and Harrison, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. In addition, Patrick is survived by his girlfriend Carly, with whom he was planning a future. Patrick is also survived by another important family: his brothers and sisters in the IBEW 606 union family, who he was so proud to call his friends.

Patrick,
You were a true friend and one we could count on. The first time I met you was when you were at the gym with Clint. You both walked up to the front to say hi & it was a sea of beard. Just mighty beards. I knew you two were going to go beyond gym buddies and into brotherhood. You had a way of navigating serious topics and conversation with wit and humor and were such a welcome energy. We will miss you so very much and promise to do everything we can for your sweet children and family. I love that Clint’s sleeve was with you & we will have a solid remembrance of you forever.
Rest in peace. ❤

My deepest sympathy to all of Patrick’s family and friends.
Patrick was a genuinely nice guy. I was always impressed with His love and devotion to his children. The love was evident every time I saw them together.
I pray his children will be comforted by that love and his legacy will live on through them.

How can this be?! I am utterly speechless. Patrick was a close friend and I will never forget his friendship. Or how amazing he was to his children and everyone he met. We became friends close to 10 years ago. I will be there Saturday to celebrate his life. I am so sorry…

Patrick was my apprentice at BVCC. I enjoyed having him on the crew! He acquired the nickname casper during his time with us in the magic kingdom tunnel. He was good at disappearing!
May the family find comfort with time. He is your angel now!
God Bless All
With love and brotherhood, Brent Webb

Patrick and I spent 4 incredible years together in school. We even worked together on some jobs and it was some of the best times I’ve ever had. I’m going to miss our Mario kart nights and our George’s hang out nights. The fantastic 4 in class is short a member now. Graduation is going to be bitter sweet. I will never forget him and I will always be around for his mother and father. With love, Sister Tink. United forever.
