This
heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who
founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in
1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F.
Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in
1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL. Loomis Funeral Home of Apopka was opened by James R. Loomis,
Sr. (Jim) with the concept that the Funeral Care Industry needs
people in it that care and give Service from the heart with
compassion and kindness and care that doesn’t end with the
Service. This is a business, but at the same time, we
remember we are dealing with a individuals that have lost the most
precious gift of all - “Their Loved One”. In difficult times it
helps to know that all arrangements are being handled with the
utmost dignity and understanding. You will find that we are a
